President | David Solin Lee

The President David Solin Lee, Ed.D. is charged with administering the operations of the University in accordance with the mission, policies and actions of the Governing Board. The President provides leadership in the areas of planning, education, and budgeting by organizing and University activities. He serves as the liaison to the board and delegates responsibilities and authority to the administrative staff.

David Solin Lee, Ed.D., has an earned Doctorate in Education from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Dissertation focused on the use of electronic portfolios and other digital and web-based educational technologies to support student-based learning, assessment and career development. His primary fieldwork at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine was to assist in the documentation of the "professionalism" competency required in their Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) process.

Alhambra Medical University has just been awarded full accreditation for the Doctorate in Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine. Our unique programs now allow study in the primary language of Chinese and translated study in English.

Alhambra Medical University and its following programs are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (ACAHM):

(1) Master of Acupuncture with a Chinese herbal medicine specialization ( English and Mandarin) [currently named Master of Science in Traditional Asian Medicine]
(2) Doctor of Acupuncture with a Chinese herbal medicine specialization (English and Mandarin) [currently named Doctor of Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine] including a Doctor of Acupuncture with a Chinese herbal medicine specialization degree completion track

We are the only program in Southern California with an accredited Doctor of Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine one year distance education completion degree in Mandarin.

Faculty | Clinical medicine requires practical hands-on training and Alhambra Medical University, located in the emerging multicultural San Gabriel Valley is home to an extraordinary concentration of the most clinically experienced instructors outside of Asia. Our institution was founded by our faculty based on this advanced formal training and extensive clinical expertise.

As a result, our graduates have passed the California State Licensing Examination at a rate of 93% (from April 2018 to June 2021).

Canvas in Chinese | Content delivery, educational interactions, and student assessments will occur through the Canvas learning management system. Canvas is deployed in more than 3,000 universities, school districts, and institutions globally and provides a modern Chinese language interface.

Title IV Federal Financial Aid | Admissions are open each quarter with Title IV Federal Financial Aid.

I-20 International Students | The University is authorized by the US Department of Homeland Security to issue an I-20 and enroll non-immigrant international students.
